Dear Friend,

Literacy Action graduate Shanaya poses with her children in her graduation robeLast year around this time, I was homeless and attending Literacy Action to get my GED. I also had two little ones to take care of. It was definitely a challenge and I was fighting against many obstacles. Even though so many curve balls were thrown my way, I still worked hard and studied as much as I could. I saw my goal and I refused to give up.

This year, I am proud to announce that I am a GED graduate and will be attending Atlanta Technical College in January 2020 for Phlebotomy. I am so grateful for the Literacy Action program and all of the people who support them.

Please know that your support is offering opportunity that myself and many others may not have thought was possible!
